Mustafa Erdem Koç

I am an interaction designer technically inclined, currently living and working in Istanbul. I am glad to have been working on really interesting and challenging projects, involving exciting technologies and complex design issues. In each and every project, I am mostly responsible for transforming business requirements and ambitions into intuitive interactive solutions as well as developing elaborated and comprehensive outputs - from initial research and conceptual work to prototyping, user testing, and building. I am an advocate for a proper user experience, structured design, and extremely detailed execution.

I am persuaded that good design is practical, collaborative, human-centered, contextual, and holistic, and begins with carving things up to their simplest form, and ends with creating new systems. I define design strategy and innovation through a combination of critical examination and analysis. My main interest is making complexity manageable through accessible abstractions.

Besides, in my spare time, I read about continental philosophy, play guitar, and discover the Arduino world.
